The FEV N-TEC 8865 Series fire suppression system was developed for professional top-level motorsport and meets the extremely stringent requirements of FIA 8865-2015 (Technical List 52), which are mandatory in many international racing series.
The system uses an electrically activated Remote Charge system, enabling particularly efficient gas distribution and extremely rapid extinguishing times. It uses FK5-1-12 gas as its extinguishing agent – highly effective, residue-free, water-free and non-toxic.
The gas is distributed through one floor-mounted cockpit bar nozzle and two atomising engine bay X-nozzles. This configuration enables straightforward installation, optimum coverage and maximum extinguishing performance with minimal system complexity.
The system is available in various cylinder sizes, allowing it to be precisely matched to the cockpit volume.
