HANS (Head and Neck Support)

The FHR protection systems have been offering racing drivers protection against serious injuries in all motorsport classes for years. The protectors, known as the HANS system, dissipate the forces acting on the head in a frontal collision via the shoulder straps and the upper body. The most well-known manufacturers of these systems are HANS, Stilo, Simpson, Schroth and Stand21.

Versions:

• 10° Suitable for extremely upright seating positions in sprint cars or as a rally co-driver.
• 20° Suitable for an upright seating position in all sports cars and touring cars with bucket seats.
• 30° + 40° Suitable for a semi-recumbent seating position such as in formula cars, single-seat racing cars and the like.
