Description
The FEV N-TEC 3.0 kg electrical gas fire suppression system is a permanently installed, high-performance fire suppression solution for professional motorsport, specifically approved for international rally competition. The system meets the requirements of FIA Technical List 16 and is designed for closed-cockpit racing and rally cars.
Electrical activation is provided through a control box with internal and external activation buttons. The extinguishing gas is distributed through 6 atomising nozzles (4 in the engine bay, 2 in the cockpit). These produce an extremely fine mist that covers a large surface area and enables very rapid extinguishing times.
The system uses FK5-1-12 gas as its extinguishing agent. It is highly effective against vehicle fires, completely residue-free, contains no water, does not harm vehicle electrics and causes no corrosion. The gas is also non-toxic and therefore safe for vehicle occupants.
