Description

The FEV N-TEC 3.0 kg electrical Remote Charge gas fire suppression system is an advanced, permanently installed extinguishing system for professional motorsport and international rally competition. Unlike stored-pressure systems, this version uses a Remote Charge system that enables more efficient gas distribution and even faster extinguishing times.

The system is electrically activated and discharges the extinguishing gas through 5 atomising nozzles (3 in the engine bay, 2 in the cockpit). These produce an extremely fine mist that covers a large surface area and suppresses fires particularly quickly.

The system uses FK5-1-12 gas as its extinguishing agent. It is highly effective against vehicle fires, completely residue-free, contains no water, does not harm vehicle electrics and causes no corrosion. The gas is also non-toxic and therefore safe for vehicle occupants.

The system is FIA-approved under Technical List 16 and explicitly approved for international rally competition.
