Arai uses optically correct, high-impact polycarbonate to ensure distortion-free clarity. The integrated anti-fog solution (inner coating/inner film depending on version) creates an effective barrier against moisture so the visor fogs significantly later than conventional ones. The result: a calm, clear view with reduced glare and reliable wet-weather performance.
For the demands of motorsport, the outer surface is scratch-resistant. Transparent tear-off posts (where applicable) allow the use of tear-offs; the precise ratchet & locking mechanism supports quick, secure opening/closing in the pit lane.
